Calgary-Munich-Regensburg

So ready for a vacation. Uneventful flight from Calgary to Toronto,  where I meant up with my travel buddies - Lisa and Chris. We have a few hours before our flight. Evening departure out of YYZ. Watch a couple movies and try to get a bit of sleep. 7 hour flight and we arrive in Munich. Other than a little altercation with a little black suitcase that lands me on the ground, we are all safe and sound.

Next task is to locate the train. Pretty straight forward, purchases our tickets and a shirt bus ride takes us to the train station.  Short wait and we are on our 7. The trip is about one hour. Arrive at Regensburg,  bet a map and walk to our hotel. Rooms are not ready yet so get a suggestion where to go for lunch. We speak through town towards the Old Stone Bridge and find the recommended beer garden. A couple cold beers and we're good.

Chris is done, poor guy can barely keep his eyes open, and nods off couple of times. So back to the hotel. Lisa and I will meet the travel rep and go for a walk. I take an unexpected power nap, guess I'm pretty tired as well. We meet Steve for Headwater tours, and then we are off to explore town. We pop into the cathedral,  pretty impressive. After a bit we find ourselves at the historic wurst stand. We stop and have a beer. We are doing our best to stay up. Finally we decide that it's late enough to go back. On re way we notice the latches for holding the shutters open are not just plain latches, so cute.

Back at the hotel to crash.
