Salò

The title for today's post should really be walk and eat. Slow but frustrating start to the day. Needed to do a load of laundry, so had a fight with the washer (I won eventually), but had a minor flood, so we'll call it a draw. Internet was down, and no hot water. Never mind, we got through it. First task of the day was to get an Italian SIM card; easy peasy. Next continued walking until lunch. Came across a place on a side street and decided to give it a chance. Shared a salad and a pasta dish. Caserecce noodles with a pistachio pesto, bacon and cherry tomatoes. I was sceptical, but very good. Then continued walking on the promenade/board walk for the next coup!e of hours. Once back in Salò, time for gelato. And then back home to activate my phone and check emails to ensure we will have hot water tomorrow. Then time to walk back to town for dinner. Jack had lasagne and I went for macaroni and cheese (4 cheese). Very tasty, but very rich. Cloudy but warm day, had a little rain this afternoon. Guess we couldn't out run the weather.
