Mediaeval Forest Walk

A relatively easy day today took us on a walk through the ancient beech and spruce forest of Perucica. One of the last two remaining mediaeval forests of Europe.

After we returned to the hotel we went to check out the pool (and have a beer). The pool is called 'the lake'. Apparently we are too late in the year to swim.

Look close that's Pete, and this is only part of the pool.
Forgot to mention the hotel is full to capacity this weekend due to a chess tournament.
Off to a local restaurant for dinner where we had a fine meal, some local red wine and more than a few laughs.

  1. Is this Pete single? I think there was a Peter on our trip. Accountant you know.

Too bad you missed the swimming, I have no memory of the pool being that big but there were a lot of people swimming in it!

loving reliving this through your eyes!
